Driving Mobility teams up with driving assessment centre to showcase services at Motability event
National charity Driving Mobility and its Midlands based driving assessment centre, RDAC will be exhibiting their range of services at Motability’s The Big Event from 19-20 May at Birmingham’s NEC.
Supported by the Department for Transport, Driving Mobility accredits a network of over 20 independent driving assessment centres. Comprising of NHS departments and charities, these centres provide ‘fitness to drive’ assessments and other mobility services for clients with restricted mobility who self-refer or are signposted from the DVLA, Motability, Police and NHS.
With its headquarters in Hampton in Arden, RDAC operates several Driving Mobility centres with outreach facilities in central and northern England so is ideally placed to support visitors to the NEC.
Its approved driving instructors and occupational therapists will be on hand to provide expert guidance to drivers and passengers with disabilities.
There will be adapted vehicles on the Driving Mobility stand along with a range of information and literature for all visitors whether consumer or professional, younger or older.
Advisors will explain the services they offer including advice for drivers of all ages, driving and passenger assessments, wheelchair and scooter assessments, driving tuition, vehicle adaptations, mobility equipment loading, and motorcycles.
Visitors to the stand will be able to discuss individual needs on a one-to-one basis and book driving assessments for a future date with Driving Mobility.
Motability’s The Big Event takes place at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 18). Friday 19 and Saturday 20 May 2023. 9am – 4pm. Free entrance and parking.
