Bottle giveaway of UK-made Hydrant drinking system offering inexpensive alternative to US equivalent
Hydrate for Health, supplier of the British designed-and-made Hydrant drinking system, has been offering up to 1,000 bottles to those in need as part of Nutrition & Hydration Week.
Hydrate for Health’s charity, The Hydration Foundation, is giving away up to 1,000 systems to those who need them. as part of dedicated week, which takes place from 13-19 March 2023.
The charity was established solely to raise funds to enable the free distribution of The Hydrant drinking system to vulnerable people in the community who struggle to reach, lift or hold drinks independently.
Established in the UK for 15 years, The Hydrant drinking system has won many awards for innovation including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Innovation. Its founder, Mark Moran, was honoured with an MBE for this work.
According to the organisation over 750,000 of its products are out in the community and helping vulnerable people stay hydrated without having to call for help. 
It costs UK customers less than £20 to buy, offering a simple, effective and inexpensive solution to the US-made Giraffe hands-free water bottle, which made newspaper headlines recently due to one UK retailer selling it for £136 rather than the £50 its US customers pay.
Mark Moran MBE, Chief Executive of Hydrate for Health, commented to THIIS: “I think the Giraffe bottle is a good product and deals well with people who have really limited ability to move.
“The Hydrant does the same job for most vulnerable people for a fraction of the cost, and can be modified very easily to do the same job as the Giraffe but still for less than half the cost.
“I think the key is that we are British designed and made, multiple-award-winning and have been solving this issue for 15 years for much less of a spend.”
