After announcing its move to a new headquarters in the tourist hotspot of Bridlington in East Yorkshire, Bayliss Mobility has officially unveiled its own-brand collection of mobility and disability products.

Established by Gary and Carol Braithwaite in 2001, Bayliss Mobility has evolved significantly over in the past 19 years. Initially growing to three retail outlets across the Yorkshire region, the company later moved to an online-only model.

In early October 2020, the mobility retailer revealed its ambitious expansion plans, including a move to a new HQ with a physical showroom – Bayliss Mobility’s first since 2013 – and a dedicated manufacturing space where it would produce its own line of products.

Now, it has launched its NuHorizons Healthcare Products range – a trademarked line of ergonomic mobility aids and accessories designed to be as bright, colourful, and vibrant as the personalities of the customers who use them, states the company.

It marks the first time Bayliss Mobility has entered the in-house manufacturing space.

Gary Braithwaite, Managing Director of Bayliss Mobility, said: “To be launching our very own trademarked brand is unbelievably exciting for us and something we’ve never been able to do before. With this and our move to Bridlington, it shows that we are on a strong upward trajectory as a company and I couldn’t be happier to see everything falling into place.”

According to the company, the idea of creating an in-house brand has been on its agenda for many months after seeing what it calls “holes in the market starting to appear following new, specific requests from customers.”

“We decided to move ahead with NuHorizons after getting more and more requests from customers about products that didn’t actually exist,” continued Gary.

“So instead of searching through our list of suppliers to find ‘best fit’ solutions for our customers, we decided to make them the exact type of product they were after ourselves.

“NuHorizons Healthcare Products is a huge opportunity for Bayliss Mobility to take the next step as a company and become one of the largest suppliers of mobility and disability products in the UK. It is a target we are all aiming towards and one we will continue to push hard for now more than ever.”

The range, which includes daily living aids, wheelchair accessories, pressure care products and mobility aids, is now available to the trade.
