Baffin Technology introduces smart portable rehabilitation device to the UK market
Mobility equipment supplier Baffin Technology has introduced a portable device to the UK which helps to rehabilitate people who have had a stroke or those with reduced hand-eye coordination due to a disability or brain injury.
The Smart Pegboard is a portable interactive device which means physio and occupational therapists can easily take it with them when visiting patients.

There are a total of 15 different therapy games available with the Smart Pegboard and with so many options available there is sure to be one suitable for most users.
This also enables the therapist to keep the sessions fresh by trying out new ones. By providing audio and visual feedback, the system gently motivates the user through fun, game-based training and can be used by all age groups.
The high intensity LED lights provide the user with visual cues to help indicate where they should place the peg and these are complimented by audio feedback to tell the user how they are progressing. Additional sound effects prompt the user during the session.
To ensure the Pegboard is suitable, it is available on a free two-week trial to clinicians. The Baffin team can also arrange a free face-to-face assessment and demonstration at a time that is convenient to the potential user and anyone else involved in their therapy or rehabilitation.
