AKW continues to expand its one-stop-shop service with new bathroom tiling range
With ambitions to offer a complete all-in-one service for installers, specifiers, housing associations and local authorities in the inclusive bathing sector, AKW has launched a new range of coloured tiles, backer boards and mosaic border tiles.
With the company describing the new, coloured, glazed ceramic tiles as a stylish addition to its existing range of tiles and accessories, the 400 x 250mm x 8mm sized tiles are digitally printed with a stone-effect and can be used as a bathroom wall or splashback tiles.
Available in four colourways – matt finish grey, gloss finished cream, light grey and white – the range of mosaic border tiles has been launched to complement the existing tile range and allow for the creation of more decorative finishes in white tiled bathrooms.
Available in marble, blue and grey colourways, AKW’s mosaic border tiles aim to provide a glossy, elegant finish.
Boosting its ‘AKW One’ service, the company has also added tile backer boards to the tiling range. The boards are strong, waterproof and lightweight and ideal for any installer looking to apply tiles to a secure surface, says the company, and come available in 6mm, 10mm and 12mm thicknesses to suit a range of installation requirements.
Additionally, the boards can be fixed onto either timber or metal studwork instead of plasterboard, creating a sturdy substrate panel.
