Dash Rehab launches second smart powered wheelchair for the “tech-savvy” end-user
Mobility equipment supplier Dash Rehab has announced the launch of the second smart powered wheelchair in its range, Robooter E40.
The E40 is a 4mph manual-fold powered aluminium wheelchair which can be controlled with a smart phone and comes with added features built into the chair. These include the ability to change the voice on the chair, so it is a family member’s voice instead, and power settings.
A ‘fault find’ feature highlights if there is a issue with the chair and the end-user can receive handy updates via an app.
Brent McIvor, Sales, and Marketing Director at Dash Rehab, commented to THIIS: “Our focus is to move the design and technology forward with this latest release, appealing to an increasingly tech-savvy end-user.
“Our partners have been delighted with the positive feedback from the end user. It is a great follow-on product from the Robooter X40, our electric-fold model.”
Available in black, grey, and turquoise, the E40 has 20amp lithium battery with a travelling distance of 16 miles. Easily transported due to its weight and compactness, the overall lifting weight of the E40 is 21kg, excluding battery, with a maximum user weight of 150kg.
Featuring a modern and stylish design, the E40 powered wheelchair comes with rear pneumatic tires and honeycomb PU front castors. Navigation is made easier with lighting to the front and rear of the chair, with an ergonomically designed backrest and seat, and luxe leather armrests.
Earlier this year, Dash Rehab, which exclusively offers the Robooter powerchair range in the UK and Ireland, showcased its X40 electric-fold model at Naidex 2023, a crossover between a mobility scooter and powered wheelchair, which offers a maximum user weight of 120kg.
