Team GB Paralympian joins Lifestyle & Mobility as an active wheelchair advisor
Mobility retailer Lifestyle & Mobility has recently appointed Richard Chiassaro, an active coach on Team GB and former Paralympic athlete, as a wheelchair advisor at its business.
Richard, who has featured at two Paralympic Games and is the former T54 800m world record holder, will be focusing on active wheelchair assessments at Lifestyle & Mobility’s showroom in Harlow, Essex.
Ryan Curtis, Branch Manager at Lifestyle & Mobility in Harlow commented: “We feel that Richard is well positioned to offer great advice as a wheelchair user himself and inspire our customers.”
Richard commented to THIIS: “I am still currently one of the team coaches for British athletics and lead mechanic.
“I approached Lifestyle & Mobility about a job as I’ve been involved with racing chair development over the years during my racing career and I also run a club for wheelchair racers of all ages.
“I want the new challenge and Lifestyle & Mobility seems the perfect fit for both of us.”
While Richard is the former T54 800m world record holder he could soon be the 400m world record holder after the person who won this failed a doping test in violation of the rules.
Lifestyle and Mobility was founded in 2002 by Ron Sverdloff and is now managed by Managing Director Aaron Sverdloff. It has showrooms in Basildon, Bournemouth, Harlow, Southend and Welwyn Garden City.
