Family-run mobility company Yorkshire Care Equipment has recently recruited two new members of staff to keep up with demand and continue growth following its most profitable year ever.

Established in 1972, Yorkshire Care saw its profits increase seven-fold in 2018 and the company hopes to continue its success by expanding its team.

The company has taken on Ben Stirling in the sales department and Miles Sadler in a service engineer role to help maintain high levels of growth and customer service.

On starting his new role, Ben said: “Yorkshire Care pays great attention to problems identified in the industry and has designed equipment to resolve these issues. We aren’t afraid to change and improve products where necessary to ensure customers get what they need from their equipment.

“Joining Yorkshire Care has been great, everyone has been very welcoming, and I have settled into my role well. It’s this service and devotion to customers that I feel will take us on from strength to strength and I am enjoying playing my part in that journey.”

Outlined in a special staff meeting at the beginning of the year, Yorkshire Care’s 2019 strategy will see it expand into new markets and customers bases with a key focus on three products; the Raizer emergency lifting chair, the Lento care chair, and the ProSpec hospital chair. Ben is playing an integral role in introducing these products to the right people in these target areas.

Likewise, Miles will be working in client’s homes carrying out maintenance and servicing to products like stairlifts, electric wheelchairs, and mobility scooters to make sure that everything is working as it should be.

Tristan Hulbert, Yorkshire Care’s managing director, said: “With Ben working on sales and Miles as an engineer, we’re making sure that our customers are getting the best service and the best advice possible. Even though we’re a growing company, our slogan is still ‘taking special care of you’, which goes for both our new clients and our existing ones.

“We’re very excited to have Ben and Miles join our team and they’re both settling in great. I’m sure that they won’t be our only new recruits this year with the way things are going!”
