The UK Government has confirmed that winding up orders have been today made against Nottingham Rehab Limited (trading as NRS Healthcare) and NRS Healthcare Limited.

Following yesterday’s report in THIIS that community healthcare equipment supplier NRS Healthcare is close to falling into compulsory liquidation today’s Government report has now confirmed that the court has appointed the Official Receiver, Gareth Jonathan Allen, as Liquidator.

Further to this, the court has appointed Mark James Tobias Banfield, Edward Williams, Helen Laura Wheeler-Jones, Adam Seres and David James Kelly of PwC as Special Managers of the companies. The Special Managers have been appointed to assist the Official Receiver with the liquidations.

A government statement today confirmed that the Official Receiver will wind-up the companies “in accordance with his statutory duties”. He also has a duty to investigate the cause of each company’s failure and the conduct of current and former directors.

Customers of the companies are invited to contact the Special Managers via email at uk_nrs_customers@pwc.com while suppliers of the companies are advised to contact the Special Managers via email at uk_nrs_suppliers@pwc.com

Those who have not been paid for goods or services they have supplied or who have paid the company for goods or services that they have not received will need to register as a creditor in the liquidation of the companies.

A creditor will need to complete a proof of debt form, clearly identifying which company owes them money. A Proof of Debt form can be downloaded at proof of debt – gov.uk. Please return the form, together with all supporting documentation, to the Official Receiver at NRS.Creditor@Insolvency.gov.uk.

NRS Healthcare employed approximately 1,500 people across the UK, working with the NHS and around 40 councils in England and Northern Ireland in supplying a wide range of equipment from wheelchairs and hoists to hospital beds and pendants which monitor falls. It also maintained and repaired equipment.
