Winchester mayor Councillor Jamie Scott opens new Winchester Mobility storeMobility retailer Winchester Mobility has announced that it has moved to larger new premises just around the corner from its previous store location.

Now based at Scylla Industrial Park in Winchester, the retailer invited the Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Jamie Scott, to pay a visit to the new store’s official launch recently.

Lee Cogan, Owner of Winchester Mobility, commented to THIIS: “It was a good problem to have as the business has been rapidly growing and I did not have enough room for stock!

“The new showroom is four times the size of the previous one and has great parking directly outside for customers.”

Lee established family-run Winchester Mobility in September 2024, after gaining years of experience in the industry.

The business, which serves customers across the south of England, was featured in the January 2025 issue of THIIS Magazine.and it celebrated its one-year anniversary last October.

The recently-closed Hampshire Mobility Services in nearby Romsey has been recommending its customers to Winchester Mobility.

Lee says that Winchester Mobility has already taken over servicing mobility scooters and stairlifts for many of Hampshire Mobility Services’ previous customers.

He says: “We welcome everyone into our large showroom and are happy to offer advice and support. We have a wide range of equipment to cater to everyone’s individual needs.

“For customers that are unable to make it to the shop, I am very happy to visit people at home to demo products or collect scooters for a service and deliver these back to them.”

Lee adds: “We now have three members of staff to assist customers, with a wide range of knowledge and experience. We also have a stall at Romsey market on Tuesdays and have met many former Hampshire Mobility Services’ customers there too!”

The business prides itself on its aftercare service and it is open Monday to Saturday 9am until 4.30pm with private appointments carried out on a Sunday where necessary.

Winchester Mobility is now based at Unit 1 Scylla Industrial Park, Winnall Valley Road, Winchester, SO23 0LD.
