Wheelchair supplier Susurro supports inclusive cycling events for Sheffield charity

Specialist wheelchair and power add-on supplier Susurro is supporting Sheffield Cycling 4 All, an inclusive cycling project being led by the charity Disability Sheffield.
The firm has supplied a bespoke hand bike and wheelchair combination for the project which has been providing inclusive, all-ability cycling in Hillsborough Park for over 16 years.
It ensures any adult who is unable to ride a standard two-wheel bicycle, due to disability or long-term health condition, can enjoy cycling by accessing adapted trikes and hand bikes. There is a choice of joining organised group events or independently loaning bicycles for up to three months.
The charity recently contacted Susurro as it was looking to extend its fleet of loan bicycles. Following discussions with Joseph Rooney, who organises the equipment, the charity was supplied with a new Stricker Smart Dynamic Handbike with custom tetraplegic controls in conjunction with a Motion Composites Apex A wheelchair.
Dan Sutton, Susurro Business Development Manager, organised the configuration and travelled to Sheffield to hand over the products and provide training.
Dan said: “We are proud to have helped Sheffield Cycling 4 All so it can help more individuals with disabilities access their equipment.
“The unique product combination and control system we have provided mean users with more specific requirements can get involved with this great scheme. There’s definitely some wonderful scenery around Sheffield they will enjoy – another example of why we do what we do at Susurro.”
Led by Rob Redgewell and Dan Sutton, Susurro imports, distributes and sells brands including Wolturnus and Motion Composites wheelchairs; Supracor Stimulite cushions and Benoit Systems wheelchair power add-ons.
Susurro recently won a ‘best in show’ award at Naidex 2025 for its new Dreeft wheels by Eppur.
