Vivid Care to present free webinar focusing on pressure care seating assessments

Vivid Care will present a free 90-minute webinar providing essential training for occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and healthcare professionals involved in seating assessments.
The ‘All you need to know about Pressure Care in Seating’ webinar will take place on 29 September 2025 from 11am to 12.30pm. There are limited spaces available, attendees can book places here. Those who can’t attend live can register to receive a recording of the session at a later date.
Expert-led by guest speaker Joanne McConnell, Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in pressure care and seating assessments, will guide attendees through all the information needed to assess and prescribe with confidence.
The session aims to close the knowledge gap, transforming participants understanding from basic awareness to clinical competence in pressure care principles, risk assessment, and seating solutions that prevent harm.
It will include live demonstrations of specialist seating features including pressure redistribution technologies, tilt-in-space functions, and advanced cushioning systems to help attendees to identify what to look for and how to specify.
Attendees also gain an understanding of how poor seating choices can accelerate pressure injury development and discover the assessment techniques that prevent patient harm and potential clinical incidents.
Vivid Care says participants will have the opportunity to master pressure care fundamentals, covering UK statistics, at-risk populations, and why seating assessments are critical intervention points, and the science behind pressure injuries, such as how pressure, shear, friction and moisture cause tissue damage and injury progression.
‘Seating assessment mastery’ will also be covered, including pressure redistribution strategies, postural alignment, and matching seating features to risk profiles, and technology solutions will be addressed to help attendees to understand cushion technologies, surface materials, and tilt-in-space features that prevent injuries.
Finally, the session will include live equipment demonstrations where attendees will see specialist seating features in action and learn what to specify and conclude with an interactive Q&A to allow attendees to address assessment challenges with an expert.
Vivid care says the webinar is essential for those assessing clients for seating who are at pressure injury risk; want to feel more confident in pressure care recommendations; need to understand how seating choices impact patient safety outcomes and those who are involved in equipment specification or procurement decisions.
