Drive DeVilbiss Electrofold Knight Mobility Scooter teaser trailer

Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has launched its teaser campaign for its new Knight Electrofold scooter, with the trailer adopting striking, cinematic visuals to grab the audience’s attention.

Positioning the folding mobility scooter as futuristic and innovative, the simple 65-second modern trailer showcases the Knight Electrofold’s innovative ‘laser drive’ technology in shadowy surroundings, using a theatrical soundtrack to build suspense for its imminent launch.

The teaser video stands in stark contrast to many of the product videos seen in the industry which often promote the lifestyle aspect of the products, with Drive DeVilbiss’ trailer embracing many of the stylistic conventions seen in the automotive industry’s advertising, drawing parallels to adverts by giants such as Audi and Honda.

The change in advertising style may signify a changing in perceptions relating to mobility products, which have been identified as having negative stigmas associated to them, with organisations such as the Centre for Ageing Better calling on the industry to design more attractive products.

Promoting the teaser trailer on its website and its social media channels, the company confirmed that the Knight Electrofold will launch this March.
