Lee Sherratt Forever Mobility

Lee Sherratt, owner of the Derbyshire-based Forever Mobility and Coffee Shop, has raised over £1000 for the NHS by undergoing a full body wax and shave on Sunday.

Having enjoyed success in the motor trade, Lee founded the Swadlincote mobility store in 2007 and last year, launched a coffee shop within the premises in a bid to further create a sense of community amongst his customers.

Not afraid to think outside the box, Lee decided to raise funds to help pay for essential supplies and PPE for Burton Queens and Derby Royal Hospital’s frontline workers by agreeing to a ‘back, sack and crack’ wax which would be filmed and live-streamed for all to see on Sunday 19th April.

The treatment involved the 37-year-old mobility boss having several delicate areas of his body waxed.

In addition, Lee agreed to have all of his hair shaved off and have a full set of bright and colourful acrylic nails.

It comes as the NHS continues to mobilise its resources to battle the spread of coronavirus across the UK.

Speaking with Derbyshire Live, Lee told the local newspaper that he was inspired to do the challenge after using live videos on Facebook with people and floated the idea, with people saying they would donate to see him go hairless.

“The waxing was awful and I don’t know why I agreed to it, but it made people laugh,” he told Derbyshire Live.

“My nails are still on but I’ve had to trim them a bit to be able to work.

There are four more days left to donate to Lee’s challenge and the page to contribute can be found here.
