Urathon powerchair wins Able Magazine’s ‘Best In Show’ award at Naidex 2026
The Hero powerchair from Urathon has been selected as the winner of the ‘Able Magazine Naidex Best In Show’ award from among hundreds of products showcased at Naidex, the UK’s largest disability event, which was held at the NEC in Birmingham last week.
Disability lifestyle title Able Magazine has been the headline media partner of Naidex for over 15 years, and by tradition, the editor of the publication selects their choice of product to receive the award.
Lucy Carson, Managing Director of Urathon, commented: “We are incredibly proud to announce that we’ve won ‘Best In Show’ at Naidex for our product – The Hero.
“Congratulations and thank you to our entire team for playing their part in making this happen, this award reflects the hard work, passion, and dedication across the business.

“We continually strive to innovate and develop high-quality products that make a real difference, and this recognition reinforces our commitment to bringing the very best solutions to the UK market.”
The Hero was officially unveiled at Naidex and marks an exciting milestone for Urathon, as it is its first-ever powerchair launch.
It features an aviation-grade carbon fibre frame which creates an ultra-light and durable structure, making it both robust and easy to handle.
The chair folds quickly for transport and storage, with a luxury padded backrest and memory foam cushion designed to maximise comfort for daily use.
Powered by twin 250W motors and a removable lithium battery, it offers a range of up to 10 miles and can handle slopes of up to 12 degrees.
Intuitive controls and fold-up armrests ensure accessibility and ease of use, while the design provides 7cm ground clearance to handle everyday terrain.
Available in red or black, the chair remains extremely portable, with the heaviest component weighing only 26kg and supporting a maximum user weight of 135kg.
Urathon is a Wiltshire-based mobility equipment supplier which has grown significantly in the mobility, rehabilitation and community equipment sector over the last 30 years. Read about the firm in the February 2026 issue of THIIS.
