UK’s first touch-free wireless hand sanitiser dispenser hits the high street
As non-essential shops began reopening on the 15th of June for the first time since the UK went into lockdown in March, the first touch-free wireless hand sanitiser dispenser has launched in the UK.
Made by chemical distribution company Chemtra the Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk is ideal for store entrances to protect both staff and customers as shoppers return to bricks and mortar shops.
Hand sanitiser kiosks are one of a number of new measures retailers up and down the country are incorporating to ensure their stores are COVID-19-safe, with other measures including incorporating one-way systems, ensuring staff are wearing PPE and placing social distancing markers in aisles to guide shoppers.
The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends regular hand washing using soap or hand sanitiser to help combat the spread of COVID-19.
Compatible with any type of hand sanitising gel, the Igieniko dispenser is the first in the UK to include a touch-free, pedal-operated system. Simple to use, individuals place their hands under the dispenser and press their foot down on the pedal to dispense the hand sanitiser gel.
With no hand contact, the safety and hygiene of users are ensured at all times and means retailers can actively contribute to reducing the spread of the coronavirus and other bacteria.
Jesse Palle, Managing Director of Chemtra, said: “As lockdown restrictions are further eased in the UK and more non-essential shops and businesses started opening the Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk has been launched to help stop the spread of Covid-19 by making the high street safe. Thanks to the practical pedal-operated system, employees and customers are totally safe from touching a potentially contaminated hand sanitiser dispenser.
“The Igieniko dispenser is first hand sanitizer kiosk in the UK to be able to offer this technology and we are very proud to be playing a role in reducing the spread of the coronavirus. It is suitable for many types of environments and benefits larger areas where people congregate such as shopping centres, train stations and airports.”
Made from fire-proof wood, the freestanding Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk requires no cables, batteries or mains power. The gel compartment holds up to five litres of sanitising gel – enough for around 5,000 pumps – and is available to buy online for £299 or can be rented from £29 per month.
Mobility retailers also have the option to customise the hand sanitiser kiosk with their own corporate colours and logo.
“The Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk is light in weight, delivered fully assembled and ready for use,” added Jesse. “No technical support is required to set it up. Once the dispenser is removed from the box there are simple instructions and then it is ready to go. The dispenser can be positioned wherever you want it, and as it is cable free, it can also be moved when required.”https://thiis.co.uk/uks-first-touch-free-wireless-hand-sanitiser-dispenser-hits-the-high-street/https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Igieniko-Hand-Sanitiser-Kiosk-1.jpg?fit=900%2C622&ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Igieniko-Hand-Sanitiser-Kiosk-1.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1NewsroomRetailer NewsSupplier NewsTrade NewsChemtra,coronavirus,COVID-19,hand sanitiser, hand sanitiser kiosk,Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk, mobility retailers, mobility shops, mobility stores,retailers,touch-free hand sanitiserAs non-essential shops began reopening on the 15th of June for the first time since the UK went into lockdown in March, the first touch-free wireless hand sanitiser dispenser has launched in the UK.Made by chemical distribution company Chemtra the Igieniko Hand Sanitiser Kiosk is ideal for store entrances...Sarah SarsbySarah Sarsbysarah@thiis.co.ukAdministratorTHIIS Magazine
