After announcing plans to expand its retail portfolio following its Annual Business Conference, Ableworld has confirmed the opening of a new franchise-owned store on the south coast, as well as the imminent launch of a new Group-owned branch in the West Midlands.

Taking Ableworld’s store tally up to 36 in total, consisting of a mixture of company-owned, joint ownership and franchised shops, the new retail operations are launching after a sustained period of strong trading for the national retailer.

In April 2019, Ableworld’s MD and Founder Mike Williams confirmed Ableworld achieved a 21.7 percent year-on-year increase in sales on March last year and recently, the company declared it had enjoyed a record-breaking week of sales in May across its network.

In addition, Ableworld was presented Handicare’s Prestige Dealer of the Year award at this year’s Handicare Awards.

Springing up on the south coast

The latest store to open is in Christchurch and will be the second launched by Ableworld Bournemouth store owners Chris Brown and Eddie Raileanu.

Entering the market in July 2017 with their Bournemouth store, the franchisees say they have had great success in offering quality mobility products at fantastic prices in the Bournemouth area and they now hope to provide the same support and help to Christchurch.

Ableworld confirmed both owners have undertaken the company’s rigorous training programme so that they can assess customers correctly and will now look to expand Ableworld’s reach in the south.

Boasting ample free parking, the new shop is located at 54 Bridge Street, Christchurch, BH23 1EB.

Multiplying in the West Midlands

In addition to the new franchise-owned store in the south, Ableworld has verified that it will be opening a new store in Stafford ready for the summer which will be one of the largest in its retail portfolio.

The new 5,000 sq. ft. West Midlands mobility shop will be managed by the company and joins its established Newport, Burton-on-Trent and Stoke-on-Trent retail operations in the region.

The company says the new store announcements confirm how committed it is to ongoing future growth and improvement plans.
