Dr Rob Hicks will be working with The Mobility Furniture Company over the next 12 months.

Popular celebrity media doctor, Rob Hicks, is collaborating with The Mobility Furniture Company to highlight many of the issues that elderly people face and provide potential solutions.

Over the next 12 months Dr Hicks will write a series of features for the Bristol-based mobility furniture specialist’s website, which will outline many of the issues that older people face.

James Mitton, Managing Director of The Mobility Furniture Company, commented: “Some of these will no doubt be relevant to our range of mobility furniture – how to cope with chronic pain, for example, or the desire to stay in our own homes for longer and key considerations that come into play.

“But the conversation will extend further, be broader, celebrating the older generations, opening up discussion as to how we can improve quality of life, and more.

“You can expect to see snippets of this new dialogue online via our website, social media sites, YouTube, etc, and offline in national and regional press, advertisements, inserts and catalogues.”

A prolific health writer and medical journalist for a number of publications, Dr Hicks is a regular guest on well-known programmes including This Morning, Good Morning Britain, Sky News and BBC News.

“The last year has been a tough time for people from all generations but many elderly people in particular have endured long periods of isolation,” says Dr Hicks.

“It is great to be working with a forward-thinking company that celebrates improving quality of life for older individuals. People want to enjoy life in their own homes, keeping mobile, healthy and independent, and I am looking forward to being part of that journey.”

Tapping into Dr Hicks’s expertise in 2021 represents an exciting next step for The Mobility Furniture Company, a business which has gone through a period of extensive change over the last 18 months.

James Mitton adds: “New management have streamlined operations, created a hugely supportive working culture within the company, which in turn generates positivity, a ‘can do’ attitude, employees who will go the extra mile for customers – many of whom are vulnerable and at this time facing long periods of isolation.

“As a well-known media doctor, Dr Rob Hicks will no doubt catch the eye of many of our core demographic which can only be good for business.

“Bringing in Dr Rob Hicks seems like the next natural step for The Mobility Furniture Company. He is a well-respected person both within the medical profession and the media sector and it is wonderful that he has recognised the benefits that our products have for older people with mobility needs.

“My colleagues and I are greatly looking forward to tapping into his expertise and taking on advice he has as to how we can improve our products and services.”
