Boasting a distinctive carbon-fibre monocoque chassis, nearly every aspect of the wheelchair has been redesigned, Trekinetic states.

Featuring a long-range battery, remote tilt and integrated wheel guards, the easy-folding chair has been designed to offer an exceptional hill-climbing performance.

The wheelchair has two 150W hub motors and offers a top speed of 6km/h and a maximum range of 25 km. Weighing 37kg, its maximum ground clearance is 120mm.

Mike Spindle, Founder and Managing Director of Trekinetic, comments: “After three years of painstaking redevelopment, pushing our own envelope even father, we have created what we feel is the world’s ultimate, dual-purpose, everyday and all-terrain wheelchair, in one ultra lightweight and easily transportable package.

“Users will now be able to enjoy vastly improved off-road ability, coupled with a surprisingly simple system, where wheel camber and ground clearance can be optimised, almost at will, instantly and effortlessly.

“I am delighted, that finally, with patents already filed, we can now share our discoveries with our customers, both existing and future.”

Trekinetic will showcase the GTE Series 4 in Hall 5, Stand G-27 at REHACARE, giving visitors the opportunity to see the new wheelchair up close.
