Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign - No Text

All-terrain wheelchair manufacturer Trekinetic has launched a new initiative to support Breast Cancer Now’s ‘Wear it Pink’ campaign throughout Breast Cancer awareness month.

In October, the manual wheelchairs & powerchair specialist will offer a free pink seat upgrade to both their K2 and GTE wheelchairs.

Unlike conventional wheelchair designs, Trekinetic’s chairs use a unique carbon fibre monocoque chassis which the company says can be moulded with almost any pigment to provide an ‘eye-catching finish.’

The manufacturer currently offers a choice of over 200 colours but confirmed it will be making a selection of pink tones available for October at no extra cost to raise awareness and support those battling breast cancer in the UK.

In addition, the company has pledged to donate £250 to Breast Cancer Now for each order received in the month of October.

According to Breast Cancer Now, every year there around 11,500 women and 80 men who die from breast cancer in the UK. Thousands of people fighting cancer and their families rely on the vital support of charities, however, 2020 has seen charities under increasing financial pressures as a result of the coronavirus.

Many organisations are struggling to deliver the services needed by many as they have witnessed funding streams dry up over the year.

Ed Spindle, Commercial Director at Trekinetic, commented: “Trekinetic are always on the lookout for new and inventive ways to support both local and national charities. We typically get quite a few requests for pink seats so thought it would be a great way for us to raise awareness and money for charity!”

At the start of the month, Trekinetic confirmed it had expanded its dealer network – domestically and internationally – with Better Mobility and Icelandic-distributor Ozon Ehf announced as its latest trade partners.
