stairliftbits website for the mobility trade

East Anglia-based mobility and access specialist Anglia Stairlifts has launched its new arm, Stairliftbits, aimed solely at providing other stairlift and homelift businesses with vital spare parts at affordable prices.

The Peterborough mobility provider’s new service will enable members of the trade to order from a vast selection of parts for a wide range of stairlifts and homelifts, addressing a number of issues the company says it has identified with the spares market.

Speaking with Phil Rice, Managing Director of Anglia Stairlifts, he told THIIS that having spent years on both the manufacturing and retail side of the industry, he noticed a difficulty finding stairlift parts, in particular for older models of lifts, as well as the high-price tags associated with them.

“I have found that manufacturers and other part suppliers charge a premium on stairlift parts. This high cost usually has to be passed onto the customers who are usually vulnerable people who cannot afford to be given a bill for hundreds of pounds,” he explained.

“The motivation behind Stairliftbits is, therefore, to supply parts at a fair & affordable price for the trade so that those within the trade can have access to them, instead of paying higher prices which get passed onto the end-user.”

Aiming to be a one-stop-shop for lift spares and parts, the new venture is offering customers a price match guarantee and is exclusively selling only to the trade.

“We do not believe it would be safe to sell the products to the public due to the complex nature of some part replacements,” said Phil.

Trade customers wishing to purchase stairlift and homelift spares can access the range via Stairliftbits Online B2B platform, which requires companies to complete a quick two-minute online form to register.

Once registered, members can browse the stairlift specialist’s full range of parts with prices, as well as real-time stock quantities informing Stairliftbits customers about availability.

All products come with free delivery, regardless of order size, with a range of delivery options available to meet different customer requirements, states Phil.

“We do make sure that if the part is required urgently that there is a next-day delivery option available as well as an immediate click & collect,” he noted.

“We will do everything we can to ensure your customers will get their parts as soon as possible.”

The recently launched trade service is now inviting mobility providers to sign up as a member and is encouraging firms to get in touch and share their feedback.

In addition, Stairliftbits is advising members that the company will aim to source any part that is unavailable on the website within 24 hours to ensure members’ customers regain their independence as soon as possible.

To celebrate the launch of the new B2B service, customers that use the promotional code LAUNCH20 before the end of February can also receive an additional 10 percent off everything on the online platform.
