TOPRO to continue selling its products in the UK despite external sales team redundancies
Norwegian walking aids supplier TOPRO has written to its UK dealer network to confirm that while it is reducing its involvement in several markets, including in the UK, it will not be ceasing sales of its products in the UK.
In a letter sent yesterday to UK dealers the firm confirmed that 2024 had been a “difficult year” for the business.
It went on to state: “Pressures in all TOPRO divisions across the world have caused challenges and consequently the difficult decision has been made to reduce our involvement in several markets. Unfortunately, this affects the UK.”
TOPRO Mobility confirmed, however, that this will not affect the sales of its products in the UK.
In an official statement, Nicolai Skarsgård, CEO for TOPRO Mobility, stated: “We want to reassure our customers, partners, and the wider community that TOPRO is not ceasing sales of our quality products in the UK or any other markets where we have sales offices or distribute our products through partners.
“Even though we make adjustments in our operations from time to time, we remain fully committed to supporting our existing and new customers with the same service and dedication they have come to expect.
“Our mission has always been to help individuals stay active, safe, and independent, and we are proud of the positive feedback we continue to receive from our users, customers and partners alike.”
The letter sent to dealers this week confirmed that since the start of the new year, TOPRO UK’s external sales team have been going through a consultancy period which ultimately has led to redundancy. Customer services has not been affected by this decision.
From the end of this week the external team at TOPRO UK will not be employed, and any queries should be emailed to info@topro.co.uk. TOPRO UK has thanked its partners for their support over these past three years.
TOPRO has been a recognised provider of rollators and other walking aids for more than 30 years. According to the firm, approximately 100,000 of its rollators are sold annually across more than 25 countries.
