Thistle Help checks out new signage at Kilmarnock FC stadium’s disabled supporters’ entrance

Staff at Scottish mobility retailer Thistle Help recently paid a visit to Kilmarnock FC’s stadium to check out its new signage on the gates of the club’s Disabled Supporters entrance.
Thistle Help says that it is delighted to be advertising on the gates of the ‘Disabled Supporters’ entrance to The BBSP, Rugby Park, which is home to Kilmarnock Football Club.
Laura Hays, Director of Thistle Help, commented: “We are delighted with the signage as it really stands out. We look forward to working with the club going forward.”
Robert Dykes, Sales and Business Development Executive at Rugby Park, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Thistle Help into our ‘Killie Family’ here at Rugby Park.
“Kilmarnock FC is one of the oldest clubs in the country and one the largest provincial teams. The club has been a huge part of the community in Ayrshire for over 150 years and it is brilliant to have local companies like Thistle Help supporting us.
“At Kilmarnock FC we are always looking to improve facilities for disabled fans. In recent years we have built a ramp and raised platform for supporters and carers so wheelchair users can get a better view of the pitch.
“The fans have also commented how this has made them feel much more part of the match day atmosphere.”
Robert also stated that it is working closely with the Kilmarnock FC Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) to ensure that it is always providing the services required by both home and away fans.
The club host a DSA Christmas Lunch every year where fans get together and are joined by members of its first team squad.
Thistle Help supplies a wide range of equipment including lift & rise recliners, mobility scooters, manual and power wheelchairs, adjustable beds and daily living aids from its showrooms in Irvine and Crosshouse, Kilmarnock.
