The Occupational Therapy Service, a leading independent practice in the UK, will be offering an expert advice hub for healthcare professionals attending the OT Show.

At the OT Show, The Occupational Therapy Service will hold an educational forum for all recently qualified and experienced occupational health delegates to ascertain how to be successful in independent practice on  stand D10, NEC, 27-28 November.

The Occupational Therapy Service provides support for case managers, solicitors, insurers, retailers, equipment manufacturers and individuals in the community. It is led by a team of occupational therapy directors, namely Royal College of Occupational Therapists fellows, Kate Sheehan and Samantha Shann who is also the World Federation of Occupational Therapists president, alongside award-winning Adam Ferry and Lucy Leonard. Together, these healthcare professionals head up a team of over 100 associates who deliver clinical, consultancy and training specialities.

The team on stand D10 will provide answers to all the questions any attendees might have regarding entering, or operating in, independent practice. Queries around insurance, supervision, GDPR, invoicing, CPD etc.

In terms of CPD, the Occupational Therapy Service is responsible for organising the conference programme at the OT Show so its advice within education is unequalled.

Kate Sheehan, Director of the Occupational Therapy Service, comments: “As a company we’ve accrued over 10 years’ of expertise in independent practice and as directors we have a combined 100 years’ of clinical experience.

“We welcome all delegates to come and talk to us about their future aspirations. Hopefully our knowledge can help guide peers along their career pathway, so they achieve greater reward and enhanced everyday practice.

“We are always welcoming new experienced associates to join our network which continues to raise the bar in terms of service provision. No other independent practice has the strength and depth we offer and we’d be delighted for more delegates to benefit from this proposition.”

In addition to advice and information for occupational therapists, guidance for case managers will be available. Working closely with medicolegal professionals is routine practice for the Occupational Therapy Service.

It provides incontestable clinical reasoned, outcome focused reports. Delegates responsible for case management are encouraged to visit stand D10 to ascertain how and why the Occupational Therapy Service is the considered choice to help them achieve their goals.

Driving Mobility, the charity that coordinates ‘fitness to drive’ and mobility equipment assessment centres for the Department for Transport, will also be offering CPD seminars on its exhibition stand at the OT Show.
