Entering the mobility sector having gained considerable experience in the automotive industry, Scott Brooker has joined TGA as the company’s new business development manager in the North.

Aiming to deliver a higher level of support to mobility dealers in the region, Scott excelled within retail management with a particular passion for the car sector and will now leverage his knowledge gained at a well-known vehicle group to help drive TGA dealer growth.

According to TGA, the new business development manager has been purposely selected from outside the mobility industry in order for him to bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to the role, working with dealers to implement innovative strategies to assist with enhancing their businesses.

Highlighting the many similarities between mobility scooters and vehicles, Scott says his experience will provide the ideal foundations needed to fulfil the needs of the role and he learns the ins and outs of the mobility sector.

“I am delighted to be entering a growth industry with such a quality brand as TGA. During my years in the car sector I gained relevant experience and will be tapping into this knowledge to benefit our valued retail network,” he explained.

“Motability was an area that particularly interested me and hence, I will be using this insight to support approved dealers. I have a lot to learn about the industry as a whole, however, I am gaining awareness quickly and all the dealers I have met so far have been very positive. The comradery and pro-active attitude of the whole TGA team is refreshing for me, along with the comprehensive product training I have received.”

Keen to get out and meet TGA Mobility’s dealers in the North, Scott emphasised that building strong and long-standing relationships with dealers will be his main priority.

“I believe a healthy rapport cultivates greater results for all. This is why I will be spending as much time as possible visiting dealers – face-to-face engagement is critical for a clear understanding of customer needs,” he continued.

“I am actively questioning what we do well and what we can do better so that TGA’s trade service is second to none. My hands-on approach and quick problem-solving attitude will ensure greater value is achieved from stocking TGA products. The flagship portfolio from TGA will only continue to gain in strength and I am excited to be part of its future.”

Daniel Stone, Managing Director of TGA Mobility, added: “I have confidence that Scott will develop into an outstanding asset for dealers and TGA. His attitude towards driving change is impressive and with proven business acumen I am sure dealers will benefit greatly from his strategic support.”

Outside of TGA, Scott is a keen hiker and has completed several extreme challenges, including walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats in 2013, covering over 1,200 miles and raising over £10,000 for Help for Heroes.
