Terry Lifts appoints new managing director with two decades of experience in the sector
Mobility lift solutions specialist Terry Lifts has announced that Tim Barrow has officially stepped into the role of managing director.
With over two decades of experience in the business, Tim first joined Terry Lifts as an installation assistant before taking on the role of operations director.
Terry Lifts stated that Tim brings a deep understanding of the lift industry, as well as its people and purpose.
Tim Barrow, Managing Director of Terry Lifts, commented: “Becoming MD isn’t just a new title. It’s a huge honour, a big responsibility, and a moment that’s both deeply personal and incredibly exciting.

David Allen, who stepped down from the role of managing director, commented: “As I step down from my role as Managing Director, one word keeps coming to mind: teamwork. None of our success would have been possible without the incredible team we’ve built here at Terry Lifts.”
Terry Lifts thanked David for the years of dedication and leadership he gave to the firm, as he now retires.
Terry Lifts has over 50 years of experience in designing and manufacturing both public access and domestic home lifts in the UK. All of its products are designed and manufactured in Britain. In 2024, Terry Lifts launched the Lifestyle Affinity Home Lift, a two-person, two-stop standing home lift that fits into narrow spaces.
