Style and mobility prioritised as AKW extends attractive Onyx wet room and shower range
AKW, a specialist in showering, daily living and kitchen solutions for people with mobility needs, has extended its contemporary styled wet room and shower range to include an ergonomic washbasin and matte black fixed and deflector shower screens.
Designed as a bathroom solution that seamlessly integrates into modern living spaces, the Onyx range offers OT’s, retirement home developers, installers and end-users the opportunity to deliver stylish inclusive living facilities.

The new Onyx ergonomic washbasin has been designed with style and mobility in mind, says the company, with a curved, concave front for closer access for wheelchair users and oval-shaped handgrip holes in the sides for user support.
Created with strength in mind, the basin has a weight load of 150kg and comes with a lifetime warranty.
In addition, AKW has included the Onyx aluminium framed, matte black fixed and deflector shower screens in the range after noting a trend for this profile finish in today’s bathroom design.
1900mm high, the screens come available in 800mm, 900mm and 1000mm widths, whilst the width of the 180° pivoting deflector panel is 400mm.
The Onyx range also includes shower seats, as well as a high slip-resistant shower tray, both in a range of colourways and with a 200kg maximum weight load.
Additionally, the range includes black, chrome, duo black and duo white grab rails that can support up to 150kg and an extensive range of minimalist designed chrome, black and white colour option Onyx accessories.
