After achieving export sales in excess of £11million in 2018, sharply rising by more than 86 percent, Stiltz Homelifts’ international success has been applauded at this year’s Lloyds Bank National Business Awards.

Recognising the homelift supplier’s success expanding into new markets across the world, Stiltz Homelifts walked away with the Exporter of the Year title at this year’s business awards.

Now in its 18th year, the Lloyds Bank National Business Awards recognises excellence from across all sectors in the UK, with a judging panel consisting of business leaders from some of the world’s biggest brands, including Google, Adobe, Unilever, IBM, M&S and the Prince’s Trust.

This year’s event, held on 12th November at the Grosvenor House Hotel in Park Lane, London, saw Stiltz rise above a competitive selection of finalists to secure the award, hailing the company’s year-on-year monetary growth and business expansion into new countries.

The award follows the Kingswinford-based supplier’s entry into the Sunday Times Lloyds SME Export Track 100 earlier this year, the third successive year the company has appeared on the list.

Established in the UK in 2010, Stiltz helped popularise the homelift and has brought mass-market appeal to through-floor-lift segment through its effective marketing campaigns aimed at convincing a younger demographic of the lifts’ ‘future-proofing’ benefits and positioning its models as an affordable alternative to stairlifts.

Having built a presence in 37 countries in just nine years through a combination of strategic partners, distributors and satellite offices, Stiltz has seen its export turnover leap from £6.2 million in 2017 to £11.1 million in 2018 – accounting for over 50 percent of its total £19 million revenue.

Receiving the award, Lachlan Faulkner, Stiltz Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, commented: “On behalf of Stiltz I am honoured to receive this award. I thank the judging panel for officially recognising the hard work and dedication of our team which underpins this achievement. Our new breed of product is unlike any other and continues to revolutionise access in the home.

“The demand for social inclusion, enhanced wellbeing and safety without costly relocation or redevelopment drives our business – hence we fully appreciate our duty of care. The Stiltz team believes in empowering individuals with restricted mobility through worldwide democratisation of homelifts – this latest award underlines our promise to drive change in all corners of the globe.”

The company says there is further substantial growth on the horizon as Stiltz continues to invest in expanding its production capabilities, with the company’s Chairman Mike Lord earlier in the year confirming it is targeting “southern Europe with dedicated on-the-ground business development in that territory.”

In addition, the homelift supplier will be looking beyond Europe to Asia and Africa, driven by its Export Sales Manager Magda Starzak, who joined the company towards the end of 2018.
