Stiltz Homelifts New Head Office

Continuing to thrive despite the global pandemic, Stiltz has recently moved into its brand new, purpose-built headquarters in the West Midlands and has initiated a nationwide recruitment programme.

The new 36,000 sq. ft facility located just around the corner from its previous site will be the worldwide headquarters for the rapidly growing homelift manufacturer.

Boasting extensive warehousing, the new site will also house the supplier’s customer service and technical teams, a global R&D centre of excellence, a state-of-the-art training hub and a customer showroom to demonstrate its product range.

Alongside the move, the company is recruiting for a range of positions as many companies in the sector announce redundancies in the wake of the global pandemic.

Stiltz’ recruitment programme includes a number of field and head office roles, including lift engineers, carpenters, builders and an IT apprentice opportunity through a partnership with Dudley College.

The move and recruitment campaign come as the mobility and access sector continues to try and find its feet after the seismic shock of the coronavirus outbreak and subsequent lockdown.

Throughout lockdown, Stiltz continued to trade while following guidance from the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA), says the company.

In particular, the homelift manufacturer stresses that it maintained levels of urgent care to existing customers whilst also providing fast track installations of new homelifts to those considered most vulnerable to aid in rapid hospital discharges.

Lachlan Faulkner, Founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Stiltz, commented: “Despite the damaging effects of Covid-19 on the global economy, our business is currently thriving. We adapted quickly to the new environment utilising technology which enabled us to assist both existing and new customers, continue with our extensive R&D programme and expand our team.

“The fact that we are recruiting is testament to the strategic planning and positive attitude of the whole Stiltz team. We are powering through and we are proud to be achieving positive sales figures whilst creating a number of new roles throughout the UK.”

Responding to restrictions on physical assessments and product demonstrations, the company has also been offering potential customers and healthcare professionals live 4K video demos.

The video conferences are delivered by a Stiltz product specialist in a remote studio with a variable hight floor, so the action of a homelift can be simulated to homeowners, dealers and healthcare professionals wishing to see how the lift looks and operates.

Earlier this year, Stiltz also celebrated receiving the Queens Award for Enterprise in International Trade in April 2020 as it continues to expand its export operations, having won the Lloyds Bank Exporter of the Year Award in 2019 and ranking in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 as one of Britain’s top 100 fastest-growing private companies.
