Specialist bathing manufacturer decides to restart production from next week
UK specialist bathing manufacturer Gainsborough Healthcare Group confirms it will restart bath production from 11th May 2020 whilst following all government COVID-19 safety guidelines.
At its large-scale West Midlands’ manufacturing facility, the specialist bathing company produces ranges for its Gainsborough Specialist Bathrooms, Abacus Specialist Bathroom Solutions and Access Walk-In Baths brands.
According to Gainsborough, it has continued its duty of care to vulnerable bathers, carers and healthcare providers throughout the lockdown by supporting critical installations, bath servicing, LOLER testing and emergency repairs to ensure healthcare facilities maintain care, hygiene and CQC ratings.
Alongside responding to service-related requests, the company points out that it has seen an increase in bath orders above and beyond its existing commitments, prompting the company to take the decision to restart production.
Initially, production levels will be limited, says Gainsborough, stating that the scaled-back manufacturing will enable its current and new orders to be fulfilled in a timely fashion.
Predicting a rise in orders for its antimicrobial bathing solutions with integrated BioCote due to the need for infection control, the company also confirms that capacity will increase alongside demand.
Management and limited operational staff, including office and field-based representatives, will support the factory to enable the company to continue offering its G360 service.
