Southport mobility retailer searches for buyer as owner plans retirement
An established mobility business in the large seaside town of Southport is up for sale and searching for a buyer, with the owner planning to retire from the industry.
Located in a prime position of Southport Town Centre, Mobility World Southport currently trades five days a week and retails a wide range of mobility scooters.
With certified and audited accounts available, Steve says the store achieves a high turnover and high profits, with an annual turnover of £400k and net profit of £196k.
Formed in 2013, the business features a double fronted showroom with offices above and a long lease of over 10 years to 2031.
Discussing the sale, Steve told THIIS: “After a number of joyful years in the mobility industry, the time is right for me to sell the business and retire. The company has so much potential to grow so it would be great to see someone enthusiastic and passionate about helping people take it on and raise it to a new level.”
The mobility dealer is now being sold for what Steve describes as a bargain price of £55,000, with stock at value if required.
In addition, the mobility veteran has confirmed that he is happy to offer help and advice following the sale if needed to the new owners.
