Snowdrop Independent Living 360 video
Mobility retailer Snowdrop Independent Living has launched a 360-degree video to enable its customers to ‘try’ a product via an online platform without visiting a physical store.

The retailer, which has seven showrooms in South Wales and the West Midlands, stated that after a management buy-out in April 2019, it has always been the ambition of its new management team to offer multiple ways to serve customers, whether they are at home or in-store via online platforms.

The pandemic, it says, created a further demand for virtual experiences which allow customers to “try” the product without visiting a physical store.

The launch of the 360 video is the first phase of the digital experience Snowdrop will be introducing to customers.

Delivered in three YouTube videos, these are titled Features & Benefits of a Mobility Scooter, How to use a Mobility Scooter – Our Tips for Driving Safely and Virtual Test Drive, which is a 360 degree video.

Viewers watching the 360-degree video on the mobile phone can turn the phone side to side to simulate the first person view while driving a scooter.

Sophia Wu, Marketing Manager for Snowdrop Independent Living said that the virtual video has been designed to replicate the experience and general advice customers would receive at any of its showrooms.

She said: “I am always impressed by how knowledgeable our retail staff are and I think this video captures and translates the experience really well.“

Penarth Branch Manager, Lynne Jakeway, commented: “Our customers’ safety is our priority so we want to take every opportunity to communicate both the safety and benefits of our products.”

Snowdrop Independent Living traces its origins to a single showroom in Haverfordwest. It has expanded over the years and now has additional showrooms in Swansea, Penarth, Cardiff, Wolverhampton, Brierly Hill and Hall Green.
