Seminar Components acquires majority share of seating solutions provider Recliners
In a strategic move aimed at strengthening its foothold in the seating industry, Seminar Components, a Welsh manufacturer of action seating mechanisms, has acquired a majority shareholding in Suite Options Limited, trading as Recliners.
The acquisition marks a significant step forward in securing the futures of both Seminar Components and Recliners. By uniting their expertise, the companies aim to enhance their ability to innovate and maintain high standards in delivering top-quality seating solutions.
Located in Pentre in the South Wales Valleys, Recliners has been manufacturing high-quality, affordable seating solutions since its founding in 2003.
Directors John Davies, Matthew Davies and David Lewis, with their vision and commitment to quality, have been instrumental in establishing Recliners as a trusted name in the industry. With Seminar’s acquisition, Recliners is set to expand this legacy even further.
Matthew Davies, Company Director at Recliners commented to THIIS: “The transition is seamless, with the same level of commitment to product excellence and service reliability at the forefront of our goals.
“Our partnership with Seminar Components will only enhance our capacity to support and deliver value to our clients.”
Steve Hale, Managing Director at Seminar Components, also commented: “We are delighted to announce that on 18th October 2024 Suite Options Limited, became part of the Seminar Components Group.
“The Recliner range of products and management team are an exciting addition to Seminar Components, which I believe will benefit both our customers and help grow our specialist seating offering in the UK, Europe and beyond.”
The acquisition signifies a positive transformation for Recliners, and with familiar faces still at the helm, the firms state that customers can expect the same quality and support as before – now with an added advantage of combined industry expertise and resources. Both companies plan to not only meet current demands but also lead advancements in the seating industry for years to come.
