Six members of staff from Repose Furniture recently took part in the annual BIG Brum Sleep Out, which is arranged by Birmingham based charity St Basils and took place in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral, raising a total of £720 for the charity.

Emily Husband, Customer Services Manager at Repose and who organised the company’s involvement in the event, said: “Just one night sleeping out made us all fully appreciate the difficulties so many homeless people have to face every night and I hope our donation went some way to making Christmas more comfortable to the people this fantastic charity supports throughout the year.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported us by making a donation.”

St Basils houses over 1,000 young people in Birmingham and over 1,500 across the West Midlands in its 34 supported accommodation schemes.  The charity also helps thousands more young people with face-to-face support and advice, but due to government cuts these services are at risk. St Basils has to raise £1 million this year and the BIG Brum Sleep Out is its largest event of the year.

Repose is a family business, with over 100 years of combined experience in designing seating solutions for the home, health and care markets.
