Seating experts to impart knowledge to healthcare professionals at Invacare’s summer events
Aimed at engaging and educating intermediate-level healthcare professionals in the field of seating and positioning, Invacare is hosting a dedicated Think Clinical Seating educational programme in June 2019.
Discussing best practice guidelines on the ins and outs of back supports, management of skin integrity, as well as different approaches and conclusions from clinical evaluations with CPD accreditation pending, the full-day 2019 TCS Series of events will be held across venues in Nottingham and Swindon.
The events will include a number of key speakers, including Sharon Sutherland‐Pratt PT MISCP MNAPTA, Owner of Seating Solutions LLC; Ezequiel F. Silva, OT and Group Product Manager at Invacare EMEA; and Carlos Kramer, International Educator at Vicair.
According to the company, having attended the event, delegates will be able to list the goals of seating and mobility as they relate to the seat cushion and back support and explain the skin risk and postural analysis steps necessary in hands‐on evaluations.
In addition, the presenters will enable healthcare professionals to discuss how assessment findings translate into seat cushion and back support product parameters, as well as ask four objective questions related to skin integrity and positioning properties of wheelchair seat cushions and back supports using a simple checklist for each.
Alongside the educational content of the TCS Series, healthcare professionals will be able to network with the seating and positioning peers, whilst Invacare will also exhibit a number of Invacare and Vicair Seating products, as well as provide free Vicair samples.
The Nottingham event will be held on the 13th June 2019 and the Swindon event will take place on the 14th June 2019.
