Arab Health MENA Wales

As mobility and independent living companies across the globe turn their attention to the Dubai in preparation of the Middle East’s largest healthcare event, 11 businesses from Wales are flying out to promote their products and services to the lucrative market.

Taking place as the UK moves closer towards its departure with the EU, this year’s Arab Health will likely see increased interest from UK companies and Governments keen to strengthen and forge trade partnerships in the region in the healthcare and medical devices arena.

Aiming to showcase the best of Wales’ manufacturing and medical equipment sector, the delegation will include eight Welsh businesses exhibiting at the event and three companies visiting.

Among the eight exhibitors will be Roma Medical, the manufacturer and supplier of a range of mobility aids and homecare aids, including manual and power wheelchairs, mobility scooters, walking aids and bathroom aids.

With its products distributed to more than 25 countries worldwide, the mobility supplier will use the event as an opportunity to extend the reach of its RMA Sport brand to distributors and wheelchair sports organisations.

Roma Medical and the 10 other businesses will gain access to clinicians, procurement professionals, dealers and distributors from across the Middle East and the world, with more than 55,000 attendees expected at this year’s show.

According to the Trade & Invest Wales, the UAE remains an extremely attractive market for Welsh companies looking to do more business overseas, “thanks to its liberal trade regime and strategic location.”

A recent report, quoted by Arab Health, suggests that urbanisation and an ageing population are among the factors rapidly boosting the demand for healthcare in the region, with the total market projected to grow from US$185.5billion in 2019 to US$243.6billion by 2023, with an 11.7% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) at constant exchange rates.

In addition to the Welsh delegation, London regal pharmacist and mobility retailer John Bell & Croyden recently confirmed it would also be exhibiting at Arab Health 2020, promoting its luxury ranges and worldwide delivery capabilities.

The largest healthcare event in the Middle East, Arab Health will take place on the 27th January to the 30th January 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai.

The eight companies, including Roma, will be exhibiting on the Wales stand 80 in hall 2.
