Assistive bathing specialist Reval has been chosen to help care home housing charity Abbeyfield exceed expectations of care home bathroom environments, with spa therapy assisted bathing.

Bringing enjoyment to routine tasks and promoting health and wellbeing through bathing, Reval has supplied its variable height Caprice bath to the Abbeyfield Residential Care Home in Southampton. The Caprice is equipped with a transfer seat, which is operated at the touch of a button, making patient transfers quick and easy.

Suitable for users with good cognitive and postural mobility, the Caprice incorporates various features designed to optimise user comfort, safety and relaxation. These include four spa therapy options to turn a routine bathing experience into a more luxurious experience with therapy and relaxation.

Ensuring the residents enjoy their rest and relaxation time, the Caprice also provides mood lighting, aromatherapy and hydrotherapy settings for a complete spa experience.

Chris Prescott, National Sales Manager at Reval, said: “Retirement is all about quality of life, and it’s good to see this is reflected in everything Abbeyfield do, so much so it even extends to how they chose to design their bathroom facilities.

“The spa facilities really do take assisted bathing to another level and we are delighted to be providing high quality bathing equipment to such a high-end facility.”

With user-friendly controls, the Caprice features a touchless panel designed to reduce risk of cross contamination, which Reval says is important in today’s challenging healthcare environments.

In addition, the Caprice features anti-scold technology and demonstrates compliance with all legal requirements set out by the UK water industry.
