The PAWS powered add-on from Rehasense

Mobility solutions supplier Rehasense UK has announced that it will have two separate stands at Naidex, which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC on March 25th & 26th.

Stand N-J40 will be dedicated to Rehasense’s range of power add-ons and active wheelchairs at Naidex   This will be in addition to Stand N-J26, which will be showcasing its portfolio of rollators, wheelchairs, ramps and accessories.

Jordan Day, UK Sales Manager at Rehasense, commented:  “Over recent years, our power add-on models and active wheelchairs have grown in popularity and by having a separate stand for the first time visitors will have the space to compare the products on show and our team of product specialists will be able to easily demonstrate them.

“We will also have selected models available on the Naidex Test Track.  This is a significant step in our continued growth in the UK, and we are looking forward to meeting with existing and potential dealers along with end user and healthcare professionals over the two days.”

Visitors to the stand will be able to see the PAWS City, Cruiser and Tourer which will be complimented by the Eco Assist, Eco Travel, Trackwheel and the Icon 60 and Icon 30 FAF Active wheelchairs.

The City is the entry level model in the Assisted Wheelchair Systems (PAWS) range.  Available with a 12” or 14” wheel, the City has been designed mainly for use around town with the 12” wheel ideal for smooth tarmac roads while the larger 14” wheel can handle slightly more uneven surfaces.

The mid-range Cruiser has been designed for wheelchair users looking for a power add-on to enable them to venture off standard road surfaces and onto more uneven terrain such as a forest trail.  With a larger 16” wheel the Cruiser offers a smooth comfortable ride and comes with a comprehensive range of standard features including traction and cruise control.

The Tourer is the top of the range PAWS model and can take the wheelchair users across terrain which would normally be inaccessible. With a 20” wheel, 4” fat tyres and longer wheelbase for increased clearance and manoeuvrability, the Tourer is equally at home on tarmac or in a true off-road environment.

The compact and travel friendly Eco Travel power add-on has been designed to offer wheelchair users increased mobility and independence on the go especially when travelling by air as it is so easy to transport. Available in a choice of five colours, the Eco Travel features a wide range of programmable options.

Consisting of a high strength aluminum chassis, a 350-watt motor and 48-volt battery, the Eco Assist offers a very cost-effective solution for wheelchair users looking for an entry level power add-on to increase their independence.

The Track Wheel has been designed to transform a standard manual wheelchair into an agile tricycle to enable wheelchair users to experience greater freedom.

The Icon 30 FAF (Fixed Anterior Frame) is a self or attendant propelled lightweight manual wheelchair which is perfect for outdoor activities and is ideal wheelchair for the more active user as it is extremely stable.

The ICON 60 manual wheelchair from Rehasense is one of the most adjustable wheelchairs currently available in the UK and features a lightweight rigid 7000 Series aluminium alloy frame and carbon fibre side panels.

In recent news, Rehasense Ireland announced that it has officially opened for business and will be led by Barry Cooke and Alan Monahan.
