Rehacare

After a two-year break due to Covid, the 31st edition of Rehacare International in Düsseldorf, Germany, is set to return from 14 to 17 September 2022.

Event organisers Messe Düsseldorf decided not to hold the world-leading trade fair for rehabilitation and care last year when it was felt that the event would pose too much of a risk for people who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19.

Taking place at the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre, the world’s biggest trade fair for rehabilitation and care will offer professional and private visitors alike the opportunity to come together to discuss all subjects regarding life with a disability and in old age.

Project Director Hannes Niemann commented: “We are very happy that Rehacare International in September will finally be held as a live event again.

“Seeing innovations and touching and trying out products is vital – especially at our most relevant trade fair for rehabilitation and care worldwide where experiencing the exhibits with all our senses is indispensable.

“Our Rehacare community has been travelling to Düsseldorf for many years now. Beyond what’s happening inside the exhibition halls, that chance for personal exchange, of course, also plays a prominent role. Our exhibitors can hardly wait to meet up and do business in person again.”

Visitors to Rehacare can expect to discover an array of innovations and trends to enable them to lead an independent life, including the latest wheelchairs, walking aids and custom-refitted vehicles.

The latest innovations in assistive technology for children will be featured in a special dedicated area, with professional advice around rehabilitation available.

A broad-based overview of assistive technology for both out and inpatient care, communications technology and age-appropriate assisting systems (AAL) and exoskeletons will also feature.

“At present we keep hearing from both exhibitors and visitors alike that this date is a must for meetings in person this year,” adds Hannes Niemann.

“Exhibitor registrations received so far confirm suppliers’ interest in flying their flags on site in Düsseldorf. Due to the ongoing measures worldwide the COVID situation has relaxed decisively.

“Trade fairs currently operate under “3G” conditions – vaccinated, recovered, tested. Our proven hygiene and infection protection concept #PROTaction will naturally ensure that everyone can feel at ease and safe during their trade fair visit.”
