Rebotics Technology launches “game-changing” crutch parking aid that helps to prevent falls
Mobility and rehabilitation specialist Rebotics Technology has launched a new device to keep crutches and walking sticks stable and upright, preventing the risk of falls and injuries.
The Steets Crutch Parking Aid is described by the firm as a “game-changer in the world of mobility aids” as it addresses a common frustration for crutch and walking stick users.
Featuring a broad, stable base, it has been designed to easily attach to most standard crutches and walking sticks, ensuring that mobility aids remain secure even on uneven surfaces.
A mounting kit which comes with the aid enables the existing crutch to be retrofitted quickly and effortlessly. The aid can then be parked in an open space using just one hand movement.
Once the crutch is supporting body weight again, the Steets Steady Stand system closes automatically, ensuring full usability of the crutch. As the crutch can be placed upright within easy reach, it allows for quick, safe, and easy access as and when needed.
Despite its robust design, the Steets Crutch Parking Aid is lightweight and non-intrusive, allowing users to maintain the full functionality of their crutches without added weight.
Rebotics Technology secures the distribution rights of mainly exoskeletal and neuro rehabilitation products that will enhance the recovery and rehabilitation process to less abled and disabled people. In 2021, Stephen Ruffle, Director of Rebotics Technology, established the business in partnership with Richard Holland-Oakes, CEO of mobility specialist Recare.
