Ravencourt, a family-run supplier and manufacturer of daily living aids and assistive products, has donated more than £1,200 worth of sensory and assistive products to two primary schools in its local community.

The Stamford-based business, which develops products designed to support independent living for older and disabled people, has donated a collection of products to St Mary & St John Primary School in North Luffenham and Brooke Hill Primary School in Oakham. Each school has received products worth more than £600.

The donations include Ravencourt products such as its Rechargeable One Button Radio and Fiddle Blanket, alongside products from brands that the company manufactures, distributes or works with, including Joy For All Companion Pets and HUG.

Ravencourt said the products can provide valuable support within the classroom by helping children to focus, manage emotions, engage their senses and develop fine motor skills.

They can also give teachers additional tools to support pupils with a range of needs and different learning styles.

Founded by the Story family in 1984, Ravencourt originally manufactured scientific equipment for schools and laboratories before expanding into daily living aids and assistive products. Its current portfolio includes solutions for people living with visual impairment, memory loss, hearing loss and mobility needs, as well as sensory companion products.

Commenting on the donations, Ravencourt stated: “We’re proud to be able to use our expertise and the products we work with to give something back to our local community.”

The initiative reflects Ravencourt’s wider focus on developing practical, easy-to-use products designed to help people live more independently and confidently.
