“Coming from a pure retail background, I have the ability to often look at prescriptive products from outside the box. This has given me an edge when I and my partners founded Motus Medical. A product for me that really stands out during that time is the Quickie Salsa M2 Mini by Sunrise Medical. This has been available for a couple of years now and it has been a standout product since launch because it offers functionality that features that don’t exist in other chairs.
“For those that are not familiar with the Quickie Salsa M2 Mini, it takes its core technology & performance from the thoroughbred Salsa family which, to my knowledge, has been the most successful range of mid-wheeled powerchairs the UK and indeed Europe has ever seen.
“I know that the UK Sunrise Medical plant makes more than 5000 chairs a year. The Quickie Salsa M2 Mini is unique in the chassis is tiny (only 52cm wide) BUT it still has an awesome suspension system that can cater for full lift, tilt & recline and be super stable. It’s also able to climb a kerb and navigate rough terrain as well as its bigger brother, the Salsa M2 or the even cooler Q500M.
“Not only has the Quickie Salsa M2 Mini been a dominant solution for the last few years, its successor – the Q300M – is also set to launch in the new year. I know that this is going to include some awesome upgrades including bigger batteries for a massive 25-mile range, more than 17 colour & style options, the award-winning Sedeo Pro seating and full lift & drive system. The Quickie Salsa M2 Mini has been such a favourite of ours that I can’t wait to see the new Q300M and its next-generation performance.”
