Prism Medical UK launches free on-demand webinars to support care industry professionals
Mobility equipment provider Prism Medical UK has announced the launch of a series of free on-demand webinars designed to support those working in the care industry.
The educational sessions aim to provide valuable insights and practical knowledge to occupational therapists (OTs) and care professionals, helping them to enhance their skills and meet their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
Hosted by Chris Hackett, the Group Product Support Specialist at Prism Healthcare Group, the webinars are packed with expert guidance and hands-on demonstrations.
With nearly 25 years of experience within Prism Healthcare Group, Chris has held various roles, including assessor, training and product support manager, and group training manager. His extensive knowledge and passion for improving care practices make him an ideal guide for these sessions.
Four on-demand webinars available for people to watch as and when they wish. The first, ‘Sling Selection and Fitting: Making It Easy’ delves into both standard and innovative approaches to sling fitting, whether in a chair or bed.
‘Prism Medical Product Awareness and Moving and Handling Practices’ will include demonstrations on best practices across a wide range of patient transfer products. It will cover essential tools such as transfer aids, stand aids, mobile hoists, shower chairs, and gantry systems.
‘Moving and Handling in an Emergency’ will see Chris Hackett guide participants on using emergency evacuation and fall recovery solutions, including techniques for hoisting from the floor.
Finally, ‘Single-Handed Care: How to Use a Bed Management System as a Single Carer’ will explore the practical application of satin sheets, bed management systems, sling fitting, and hoisting when working as a lone carer.
In addition, it will be holding two webinars in October at a specific time. ‘Mastering Bed-to-Chair Transfers: How to Use Slide Sheets and Slings for Safe and Effortless Care’ will be held on 10th October from 3-3.30pm.
‘Standing Transfers: A Comprehensive Guide to Supporting Mobility with Essential Equipment’ will be held on 28th October from 3-3.45pm.
The webinars offer an invaluable opportunity for care professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest practices and tools in the industry. The sessions are available on-demand, allowing participants to learn at their own pace and schedule.
