Precision Rehab successfully debuts its latest iBOT powerchair products at Naidex
Bespoke powerchair solutions provider Precision Rehab used this year’s Naidex to officially launch the iBOT duo electric balance wheelchair prototype by Mobius Mobility alongside the iBOT PMD. The iBOT duo is scheduled to go into full production in early 2026.
Widely recognised as one of the UK’s leading suppliers of powerchairs, the iBOT duo represents a new vision for Precision Rehab and builds on the success of the iBOT PMD which was recently launched in the UK to widespread acclaim.
Matthew James, Co-founder and Director of Precision Rehab, commented: “We are always looking to take the UK powerchair market to the next level and with the iBOT PMD and iBOT duo I know we have achieved this. I have been attending Naidex for over 30 years and have never known two new products to create the level of interest the iBOT’s received.
“From the moment the doors opened until the end of day two we did not stop demonstrating both products along with other models from our powerchair portfolio to three of our core target markets – healthcare professionals, end users and the trade.”
Designed to tackle most terrains including mud, gravel and tarmac, the iBOT duo can also travel over thresholds of up to 7cm so doorways steps and kerbs are not an obstacle either around the home or when out and about.
Based on a two-wheel chassis, the iBOT duo works on the tried and tested gyroscopic technology that is found on the iBOT PMD to always ensure a smooth comfortable ride and is capable of a top speed of 16kph.
The duo has two driving speeds with individual settings and has a cruise control mode. To accommodate various levels of mobility and dexterity, the duo has a tiller steering system that can easily be stowed left or right for easy transfers, in addition to this, the duo has side supports that are foldable to also aid easy transfers.
People will have the opportunity to personalise their iBOT duo as there will be a range of colours and design options available.
Precision Rehab was founded by Matthew James and his wife Emma nine years ago. Building on over 30 years’ experience of the powerchair market Matt has overseen the controlled growth of the company to its position today as one of the leading suppliers of bespoke powerchairs in the UK.
