Trackmaster MK1 Precision Rehab

Precision Rehab has signed an agreement to become the exclusive distributor of US-based TrackMaster’s range of all-terrain powerchairs for the UK and Ireland.

Headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, TrackMaster manufactures two models of unique all-terrain powerchairs, the MK-1 and the MK-1X. The eye-catching chairs use tracked technology to enable the devices to traverse difficult surfaces such as rocks, mud, sand and snow.

Despite the MK-1’s and MK-1X’ rugged appearance, the chairs are designed to be suitable for indoor use as well, with a width of 74.9cm allowing the chairs to fit through most doorways and commonly used spaces at work or home.

Now, Precision Rehab is bringing the all-terrain vehicle across the pond as part of the company’s continued growth.

Founded five years ago by Matt James and his wife Emma, Precision Rehab has steadily been carving out its place in the mobility sector and is now recognised as an established provider of bespoke powerchairs to meet complex needs.

“The TrackMaster range is a great addition to our growing powerchair portfolio and is unlike anything we currently have to offer,” commented Matt.

“Over recent years, we have been following the progress and developments at TrackMaster and have always been extremely impressed with the unique capabilities of the product.  The stability is excellent, and the tracks are unrivalled over very rough terrain as they have no problem in tackling mud, snow, sand, ice, gravel and water up to 30cm deep.”

The addition of TrackMaster will boost its powerchair portfolio, which includes brands such as Paravan, Dietz, Eurovema, NHD and Sunrise Medical.

“We are always looking for innovative and specialist products that will complement our existing models to benefit our clients and therefore only work with manufacturers we can trust,” he continued.

“After discussions with the TrackMaster team, I knew the powerchairs would fit perfectly within our portfolio and we are looking forward to working with TrackMaster to bring them to the UK.”

Precision Rehab says it will supply the TrackMaster powerchairs on a direct sales basis throughout the UK and Ireland. The UK company is due to take delivery of its demonstration model and will then contact its network of clients and therapists to arrange assessments.

“The official UK launch will take place at the first exhibition we are able to attend but, in the meantime,, we will be showcasing this great new addition to our range to individual clients,” added Matt.

Travis Underwood, President of TrackMaster, commented: “We have been looking for a partner to represent us in the UK and Ireland for some time.  As soon as we had discussions with Matt and learned about his industry experience and that of his colleagues, we knew Precision Rehab was the right business partner for TrackMaster to help develop the marketplace in the UK and Ireland.

“Everyone at TrackMaster is very excited about this latest stage in our development and believe Matt and the Precision Rehab team will help take us to the next level in these important territories.”
