Precision Rehab at the 2019 OT Show imagePowerchair specialist Precision Rehab has reported a successful OT Show having used the event to launch two “ground-breaking” new models and engage with familiar and new occupational therapists.

Matthew James, Director, Precision Rehab, commented: “We knew the Paravan PR40 and PR25 would be popular but the level of interest we received was fantastic. Having the chance to engage with so many Occupational Therapists over the two days and showcase these latest additions to our portfolio was invaluable as was the feedback we were able to gather.

“We work with OT’s on a daily basis and not only did the show once again enable us to meet up with many  we already know but we also met a significant number of new contacts who we hope to work with in the future to help their clients regain as much independence as possible.”

One of the new powerchairs launched at The OT Show was the Paravan PR40, which combines the specification and multi-function options of the PR50 and Biolution models to take powerchair technology to “the next level”. It boasts an electric tilt of 45° backwards and up to 20° forwards, standing and lying positions fitted as standard along with a redesigned adaptive seat shell system.

With a width of 64cm, the PR40 is easy to manoeuvre and features R-net controls with seat memory positions as standard. Additional control systems are available, depending on user requirements, and with a maximum user weight of 140kg, the PR40 is suitable for a wide range of powerchair users.

Also making its debut at the event was the Paravan PR25 powerchair, which is based on the Paravan PR40’s compact chassis and uses its automatic stabiliser wheels to enable the seat system to be powered from a normal seat height to floor position. This function allows children and smaller adults to access the chair from ground level enabling interaction with their peers.

With a base width of 64cm and a choice of two additional functions of tilt-in-space and seat lift, the PR25 is a multi-functional powerchair which is easy to manoeuvre due to the R-net controls. It is also suitable for all users due to its two maximum user weights of 60kg and 120kg respectively.
