PMG Conference rescheduled to July 2022 due to “continuing impact” of pandemic
Organisers of the annual Posture and Mobility Group (PMG) Conference have confirmed new dates for its next show, which will now take place from 11th to 13th July 2022.
The annual conference provides an educational programme, industry exhibition and networking events for professionals working in the field of posture and wheeled mobility.
It typically sees occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation engineers and clinical scientists working within the NHS wheelchair services or for manufacturers/distributors of posture and mobility products attend, alongside a smaller contingent working in other NHS departments, the charitable sector, for local authorities or independently.
The 2020 conference was originally supposed to take place in November, however, following “uncertainties of the times”, PMG decided to push back the show until 12th-14th of July 2021.
Now, due to the “continuing impact” of the coronavirus pandemic, PMG has confirmed that the show will not be going ahead as planned in July 2021. The new conference dates are 11th-13th of July 2022, still at the Telford International Centre.
In a statement about the show’s postponement, PMG Conference organisers said: “Bookings will open again shortly, meaning that if you have unspent funds in your study leave budget, you’ll be able to register before the end of this financial year.
“If you’ve already registered for the 2021 conference, we’ll be in touch soon, but please contact us if you don’t hear this month about a current conference booking. Email olwen.ellis@pmgk.co.uk in the first instance.
“We hope to announce the date for re-opening of conference registration next week, via the PMG website, through another mailing, and on our social media platforms. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please email olwen.ellis@pmgk.co.uk.”
PMG advises that Olwen is working part-time during the pandemic, so says there may be a delay in response.
