TGA’s WHILL Model C, which the company describes as stylish, easy to manoeuvre and has “cutting-edge” transportability, has been awarded the ‘Best of the Best’ Red Dot Design Award 2018.

This is the fifth award the WHILL C has achieved, with other accolades including a CES 2018 Innovation Award, an If Design Award, an International Design Excellence Award and Japan’s Good Design Award.

Established in 1955, The Red Dot Award is one of the most sought-after design awards in the world which recognises outstanding, innovative designs. Over 6,000 product applications from more than 59 countries were submitted this year and assessed by a panel of independent jurors.

The success of Japanese-developed WHILL Model C within these award programmes is testament to its exceptional design and ability to change peoples’ lives, says TGA.

“As a category-defining product, WHILL Model C has been developed with the wheelchair user fully in mind. It is a solution designed to allow people to achieve their full potential whilst delivering confidence through contemporary aesthetics.

“WHILL Model C is truly a game-changer and its developers fully deserve this latest accolade. We are proud to provide such a world-leading, user-centric product and as our motto states…where there’s a WHILL – there’s a winner!”
