M3 Corpus Ricole

Permobil makes its bid to stand out in the competitive mid-wheel drive powerchair segment as it unveils its new M3 Corpus and M5 Corpus models for 2021.

One of the key USPs of the new series that the company is promoting is the new Permobil battery and VoltPro charger. According to the manufacturer, the two work together to provide users with up to 25 per cent greater driving distance – up to 20 miles – alongside reduced charging times and longer battery life.

In addition, users can use the newly-launched MyPermobil app to access information on battery charge estimates, travel distance and seat activity tracking.

Permobil is also pledging to provide users with the freedom to move with enhanced stability and new drive positions.

In particular, both the M3 and M5 boast an ActiveReach and ActiveHeight feature, combining to provide seat elevation with an integrated forward tilt. The M3 offers 12 inches of elevation while the M5 provides 14 inches, with both models offering 20 degrees forward tilt a travel speed of 5km/h while fully elevated.

The company is also emphasising the benefits of its new Corpus cushions, which it says deliver improved comfort, pelvic positioning, lateral stability and immersion.

Additionally, the M-Series includes an expanded choice of colours with 13 for users to choose from, including the option to mix and match shroud/hub insert colour options. The company says the LED lights at the front and back are now twice as bright for improved visibility as well.
