During the visit, Charlotte visited the on-site gym and spent time with employment engagement manager Richard Jones to speak about her career and plan a talk later in the year across the company.

Charlotte also had a sit down Q&A session with George Callcut where the pair spoke about accessibility issues in the UK and how a societal change is needed. This video interview will be released soon.

In CareCo’s Braintree showroom, showroom manager Callum Geir spent time with Charlotte talking through products, and Charlotte demonstrated how her AirFold Pro Carbon Scooter has made travelling easier. She’ll be showcasing the scooter in use live during her games this year.

Charlotte also proudly displayed her medals, letting the team feel the weight and intricate designs that many don’t get the chance to see up close.

Will Harrison, CareCo founder and mobility expert says, “It was an honour to have Charlotte in the showroom.

“Charlotte came to see us just before travelling to Seville to compete, and everyone at CareCo is sending her good luck – we know she’ll do Great Britain proud!”

Charlotte added, “It was a pleasure to visit CareCo HQ. You can tell how committed they are to the team, as it’s such a nice place to work with its canteen, pool tables and on-site gym showcasing the commitment to the staff.

“Visiting the huge warehouse, alongside the offices, was a pleasure. Every single person made me feel welcome, and naturally they kept me topped up with hot drinks and refreshments.”

CareCo recently announced the opening of its 39th showroom in Swansea.
